Summary of Pending Case: In re Puerto Rican Cabotage Antitrust Litigation (D.P.R.). The firm represents a class of plaintiff direct purchasers in a multidistrict class action alleging that the major providers of ocean shipping services between Puerto Rico and the United States illegally conspired and agreed to fix and artificially inflate the price charged to ship goods between Puerto Rico and the United States. Fully briefed motions to dismiss are awaiting decision. There is also a proposed settlement between plaintiffs and the Horizon defendants, which is pending preliminary approval by the Court.
