Summary of Pending Case: In re Processed Egg Products Antitrust Litigation (E.D. Pa.). The firm represents a class of plaintiff direct purchasers in a multidistrict class action alleging that the major producers of fresh eggs and processed egg products illegally conspired and agreed to fix and artificially inflate the price of fresh eggs and processed egg products. The parties recently briefed motions to dismiss the consolidated amended complaint and those motions are awaiting decision. There is also a proposed settlement between plaintiffs and the Sparboe Farms defendants which is pending final approval by the Court.
